    hi gang,

i just picked up the entire ko g1 dinobot set and i'm really quite pleased with my purchase (40 bucks a pop!)

but of course as ko's, they do suffer some manufacturing flaws; this particular scenario being sludge's hind legs. the problem is that the legs jut out awkwardly and do not sit directly perpendicular to the body. they are more like in a 45-degree angle.

i was wondering if anyone out there had an old sludge and could show me (in picture or text) how the leg is supposed to attach to the body and what internal mechanisms are involved?

the ko sludge's hind legs are set up as follows:

    going from out to in:
screw cover > screw > washer > spring > goes into hole in leg > attaches to peg that protrudes from the body

in this setup, the legs just out weirdly when i place them in dino-mode. when i attempt to transform it into robot mode and swing the legs into their "leg cavities" they snap right into place because of the spring mechanism.

wish my d-cam wasn't broken so i could take some pics...

but if anyone can help, i'd great appreciate it!!!

    thanks!

    - KO

I think the screw should be longer than it is, nothing more complex.

Guess they just had one type of screw in the KO factory.

If you figure out how to get the caps out of the legs, let me know please :)
