I am not sure what the best forum for transformer repair questions, so feel free to move this to the appropriate one.

I just bought a working G1 Sky Lynx just the Lynx portion to replace my battery corroded one. Unfortunately, the seller failed to mention that both of his front legs are missing the red peg that sticks out on the rotating portion of his leg (where his leg meets the body). Therefore, he does not walk properly. I hope that makes sense.

Is there a way to fix this with my other Lynx that has the parts?

Of course you can do that. Obviously you'll need to take them both apart. There's no guide for it, just bust out a screwdriver and get to work.

If you are worried about forgetting where everything goes, take pics of the disassembling process to help you reassemble them.

I got my G1 Sky Lynx working after cannibalizing three different Lynx units, so it can be done. I will warn you that it's really important that you keep in mind how the leg assemblies are put together when fixing him up. The "shoulder" discs with the red pegs need to be lined up on the axles exactly as they are when you take it apart or else he won't walk correctly and might even end up breaking on you when you switch on the power.

I originally thought all I had to do was replace the battery cover. You can imagine my dismay when I noticed his front legs were broke. I might give it a try or try to sell the working one to recoup my costs.

i fixed one last year, it's not too hard to do, jus mark with a marker on both the disc and axle (inside the lynx so it doesn't show when assembled) which sides should meet up before you transfer them, and you'll be fine, also as said above take pics

Well, I finally got around to fixing my sky lynx. Unfortunately, I think the legs are not aligned correctly. I can't put his legs in the "roller" position. Does this mean that the legs are indeed put together wrong?

Sound like it may be the case. But now you've taken it apart once it's no big deal to take it apart again and double-check everything and see where it might have gone wrong when putting back together. :)
Although it's been a long time since I handled my Sky Lynx, so maybe wait and check with others here in case there's some kind of release for unlocking the legs from walking mode to rolling mode.
Perhaps chuck up a photo too.

I thought I put the legs together correctly but he still doesn't walk. He rolls but his legs don't want to move. I will put up a pick later to see if I can get some help with the matter.

As for the process I went through. I had one sky lynx with a working motor but with 2 broken red pegs on the wheel joints/discs. My other one everything was perfect except I left the battery in which corroded the electronics. So I took the legs out of the non working one and attempted to put them into the working one. No success :(
