    Hey Gang!

Well...looks like I'm at it again! Can't keep my grubby paws off when it comes to 'bashin I suppose... :rolleyes2  I was skimming my stockpile of inspiration the other day when I came across "TURBOEDGUY's" incredibly articulated G1 figures (check out his awesome SKIDS that inspired me) :
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/211522-articulated-g1-skids.html

I knew I hadda have my Skids worthy of sitting in my Classics lineup! ( don't worry, he's not a G1 original so I can hack n slash without fear! ) so with veritable mountains of inspiration courtesy of T.G., ( :thumbs2: dude) I present to you my latest tom-foolery-in-progress!

    Also.......my usual "laundry list" !

    G1 "SKIDS" re-issue (upgrades)

1- New, larger head w/lite-pipe eyes. Head on ball jointed neck

    2- L.E.D. headlites w/ clear lenses

3- New arms w/ poseable hands & close to 180% bendable elbows. Shoulders to have "swivel" joint. Front wheel assemblies to transform like RTS "JAZZ's" with new, accurate side view mirrors attached

4- "Telescoping" upper torso ( for added height )

5- New upper legs with ball jointed hips & knees

    6- Ball jointed waist (?)

    7- New,accurate "grille" ( use p.e. mesh )

8- New feet ( ball jointed ) w/ retraction gear allowing for partial storage into leg during alt mode

    9- New wheels

10- Hinged "back plate" that swings down from inside of roof to attach to backside of upper torso. This will hide the unseemly gap necessitated by the alt-mode head storage pocket

Is it just me, or am I bitin' off more than I can chew with this guy?

    Cheers !

    ~BK

    UPDATES!!

Hey Gang! Was just fartin' around with this guy over the last couple of days to see If I could come up with a new layout for him & this is where I'm at. The head base is an RTS Tracks' noodle & the new hands are Hobby Base's awesome 1/144 Perfect grade super poseable hands. Whattya guys think, he look better in this configuration?

Good stuff. I eagarly await this. He didn't do shit in the cartoon, but he had a pretty good brief run in the old comic, so I always like to see people give this guy some attention. If you pull it off, I'm sure it will be good

Thanks, I'm gonna need it I think, he's a pretty cramped little mold to work with & the diecast bits don't help matters much...Hmmm....mebbe I should have 'em cast up in resin....

Ah-ahahaha! That has to rank as one of the funniest expressions I've heard in a loooong while man! :thumbs2:  & thanks for the support! :D

Thanks man! Seems I can never leave well enuff alone, don't it!

Have you considered using any of the Cybertron Hotshot mold heads, pretty close to the G1 head, I noticed this today as I too was thinking about doing a Skids update. Btw, very nice and awesome start to this, hope you pull this one off!
