Finally finished this custom. A big thanks to FR for the inspiration on the hip modification. The hardest part about this was getting his arms to telescope, while having articulated elbows and hands. Painted with Testors Acrylics and Enamels. Sealed in a clear flat finish.

    Articulation:

-Elbows bend and rotate 360 degrees
    -Hands are articulated and rotate
    -Hips are on balljoints
    -Knees bend

Nice articulation mods and I like that you kept the paint straight forward as it really suits the G1 asthetic.

Looks good! In your pics though you forgot to position the cockpit in tank mode, the wheels/arms should rotate a good bit further forward for car mode, and the wings connect to make the handle in gun mode.
I actually like the plain cartoon look almost as much as the details the stickers add, but car mode really could use a windshield.

    thanks for the comments guys!

good eye i suppose? I'm not sure how further the arms could go for carmode. the shoulder balljoints were placed at the same point via G1.

The wings do connect for gun mode. It was hard getting a stable pose for pictures, so I had to spread them.

These are some of my favorite paint apps I've done. I knew right away, the repro set of stickers would make him look silly, so I didn't apply them. I did include them in the auction though.

    Thanks for the comment,

Real cool you did include the stickers. Some of them are important to the look (like the windshield), some make for nice extra detail, and some are kinda silly. That's all a matter of opinion though.
The swivel joint part the arms connect to should rotate around forward to give the car a more balanced look so it isn't so front heavy. That off balance look on the upcoming 3rd party version is one of the few things I think the G1 toy did better on, assuming the renders weren't transformed wrong.
Here is a link to what I mean about car mode. Might help the auction make more if you can show that it still does this. I see that the joint is still there for it. Decepticon SIX (6!) changer: Sixshot

I would just post the pic but attachments are down atm.

thanks for the comments guys, cheers

you're definately right man. i appreciate the thoughts. the most aggrovating part of this custom was pictures. I was in and out of the house and workshop, taking mental notes of 3 modes, back to the shop for pictures, and back to the house again for the other modes.

    Cheers man
