Tonight I plan on cracking open my childhood G1 Shockwave to figure out why nothing happens when I pull the trigger. Are there any common problem areas for the electronics on this guy?

Dry soldering? Or has a battery leaked in the compartment? I think there's a lot to go wrong!

The battery compartment is spotless, as is the rest of the toy, so I'm guessing that's not it. If dry soldering is the issue then it should be an easy fix. I was wondering if any components typically go bad, or if the wires tend to break or come loose in a usual spot. Seems like that shoulder joint could maybe wear it down over time.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll star looking at the soldering first.
