Been a while since I've done an update. I picked up a couple of really sweet rare pieces, an 80 pre rub red Cliffjumper & a transition 85 rub Sunstreaker with TM box. I've finally completed the series 1 boxed cars :D

Thanks guys, I'm definitely not the only one with this kind of collection in Oz thats for sure. Although you could probably count on two hands the amount that do.

Love it! Red Cliffjumper in pre-rub is so hard to find. Congratulations on the score!

A TM box is the earliest release of that toy. later the TM trademark was replaced w/ the "r" in a circle(registered trademark) and usually toys in the R boxes had rubsigns.
There are transition pieces though which use a later toy(rubsign) in a TM box(no rubsign)
Theory is that the factory was making running changes during production.

I have several TM boxes in my collection, but Mazda's collection still puts mine to shame. :)

Thanks khopson, I'm a big fan of 'TM' pre rub G1's even though most of them are ticking time bombs & the bubbles can fall off at any time. I'd still have a pre rub carded mini car over a rub hands down, I think they look a lot better in vehicle mode.

Here is a few nice examples of rubs vs pre rubs, just because I can & now looking at it I think I have a real problem!? ;)

And the new addition to my collection,my first 90 which I traded my soul to the devil for...It is the only 90 pre rub jet so that was a fair trade I guess.

Stunning stuff. I won't ask what you gave up in that trade (in addition to your soul). :lol

I agree with the Pre-rub carded figures. I think the alt/car modes look much cooler. Nice comparisons, and congrats on that 90 Skywarp. It's a thing of beauty.

Holy Shit, what incredible pictures! Just an amazing body of work put into this and the dedication to acquire all of this stuff in such amazing pristine condition.
I love the Skywarp pic, but that Cliffjumper pic side by side is the topper. Keep it up.

once you become a true G1 collector you have to have some duplicates in the rub and pre-rub formats. Especially the cars. Then once you have both its even harder to sell one or the other. Love the 90 skywarp that is really clean.

I'm all about the prerubs. Even when I was a kid I didn't like the rubsigns. Great collection Mazdaspeed7. That Skywarp is amazing. Any prerub that can fetch a 90 always amazes me.

Thanks man, I know that's what is scaring me! I'm quite happy to hang on to the rub & pre rub versions of the same figure, unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse ;)

Thanks 2punish, 90's are just crazy mint & to get a pre rub in this condition is an amazing find.
