If a continuation ever happened, bring back Starscream and have him introduce the concept of Pretenders. Honestly, after floating around in space from the end of Ghost In The Machine, we have no idea what became of him.
I'd like to see a G1 Continuation too, but I hope the decision to turn into Beasts would be left to an alternate universe or at least not an accepted idea by the majority of Autobots and Decepticons. I like the way Galaxy Force/Cybertron has the Beasts as a sub-group. Perhaps Optimus Prime and Megatron and their troops left Cybertron as other Cybertronians went Max and Pred.
That's one of the many stories that could be done and expanded. So many possibilites. However I can not stress enough the fact that if such a project would ever happen it would need these 3 paramount ingredients : 1. Good animation. Gonzo quality. No 3D. 3D animation at its best is simply incredible and it would keep in line with the original cartoon visual style albeit higher in quality per today's standards. 2. Good stories. No slapstick or kiddie stuff. This is animated sci-fi show. No graphic violence either. BW proved it could be done. 3. Care about the original concept and its basis. Sentient-Transforming robots wagging a multi-millenia fight in space. Expand on TF:TM animated movie, take the best post-G1 japanese shows elements and you'd have one hell of a show. I actually concieved a continuation of G1 after Rebirth and set it to use a little G2 towards the end while leading into an ending that could continue but be more satisfying an ending than Rebirth ever was. I actually started writing it but never got around to finishing anything. I even have a premise that would explain what happens to some fav characters and it draws some pointers from the Japanese series without the Continuity errors like Prowl and Wheeljack being there.
I'd kill for G1 to have continued far beyond those few episodes for season 4 before the show got cancelled, instead of having to put up with Beast Wars and the rest of the shows that followed after that.
