He's turning out to be a bigger project than I originally planned.

I thought fitting the trailer back together was going to be the easy part, wrong. It was a pain in the butt, and I finally have rodimus in 1 piece in alt mode.

I've added a lot to the robot mode, and I think he looks a lot better now.

I believe that's almost it for him. Now I need to prep im for paint and order some reprolabels.

Great job! Never been a fan of "trailer-parts-formers"! Glad to see you've worked out a "perfect" transformation!:thumbs2:

That looks awesome! And it all fits into the alt mode, or do some parts get let out?

thanks bro, but sadly, he's def. a partsformer, lol. i figured a decent looking partsformer is better than a ugly brickformer, lol.

thanks man. when i first started working on him, my intention were to have the kibble fit inside the trailer. And unfortunately, the trailer is a lot smaller than I thought, and his feet take up a lot of room inside. I think I may be able to fit his waist/thighs inside the trailer, I havn't tried yet. And I'm going to see about attaching his arms underneath the trailer, but I highly doubt it will work, they're so big :(

Wow. So much better than that "creamsicle with arms" from 86. Looks very very badass. Bulky and rugged-Just what a prime should be. Good luck and keep up the progress!

I now have the urge to make myself one too! Would you mind posting a picture of him next to classics sideswipe for size comparison?

Look really cool so far. Are you going to update his headsculpt? Maybe the Alternators Hot Rod head would look good on this, it should be about the right scale.

Great job so far, bro. This was one of the Transformers I loved and hated as a kid. I was always a Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime fan, but the toys for both were literal bricks (especially Rodimus) and while I loved the character, I always hoped for something more with those toys. As a kid, I remember trying to figure out how to make his legs bend at the knees, at the very least.

I can deal with parts-forming, so it's all good. As you said, it's still better than the brick we have with what, 2 points of articulation?! lol (wait, make that 5, forgot the toes and folding head).

This just keep looking better and better... the small additions you've made really improve the overall look. I love the long-limbed proportions... the robot mode looks really cool. And this is coming from someone who has never much liked Rodimus. :)

Looks great, huge improvement on the original. The Alt arms also work so much better now they've been a bit "boxified", all those different elements now look like they belong together. Hard to believe it was once its old brick self, to be honest, great stuff.

thanks man. as of now, I'm going to. I plan to make another rodimus, and I'll def. have another head for him. and btw, i received primus and unicron yesterday, thanks man

    thanks guys

that would be awesome. i really hope someone takes the idea and improves on it. I wouldn't mind making another one and change some things. maybe later.

and sure, here's a picture of him beside sideswipe and a WIP G1 city commander.

as of now, I'm not. I want to make another rodimus, which will def. have a different head. I was thinking an alt. rodimus head would work great too. I'll contact sculpt bot and see if he has any made.

same here! i've always been a big otrod/rodimus fan. I wanted the g1 hotrod toy sooo bad as a kid, but he was nowhere to be found. i was fortunate enough to have the rodimus figure, or was I ;)

    awesome, thanks man

thanks a lot guys, I'm looking forward o painting the sucker :)

You've taken a toy that was classically CRAP-tastic and turned into awesomely FAN-tastic.
