Okay I just won this KO Roadbuster off ebay, compared it to pics of the original, looks very similar. I didn't know they had made any KO of this figure.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find the specs on this figure, like if he had any accessories if parts from my junker would fit it?
    thanks much

Its hard to say, but I don't think that's a KO. I think its a pre-Transformers Takatoku Mugen Caliber Dorvack. you might try searching ebay for armor, but it might be fairly difficult to find. If you want, Roadbuster armor should fit too.

How tall is it? 3"-4"? If so, it's a Convertors Wheels figure which only came with one gun.

The Mugen Calibur mold that was use for Roadbuster stands about 6" tall, and is made of diecast and plastic.

I'm pretty sure thats the Convertors "Wheels", I have one MOSC. At 4" tall it's not a good stand in for Roadbuster.

Isn't this figure about scout size?

I have a similar Ovalon Gazette and it's about scout size.

From what people are saying there's two versions. I know one of them in this deco was the proper Roadbuster size though.

From the picture, I can't put my finger on it but something seems off compared to the official Roadbuster who I've got. Just something in the design seems a bit less polished than the bigger one. I'm guessing that it is the small one, the "offness" is consistent with some downsizing of the design.

Yeah, i can see that also, I just don't have a roadbuster, so thought this would be a good place holder til I can find one. but all you can find on ebay, either way to expensive, or junk, i.e. missing all weapons, all pieces, head, tires, etc. etc. etc.

So that's what it was called. I had the non-TF version of this toy back in the day, I think I got it in Hong Kong, somewhere in Asia. I think it was exactly the same as the TF version, though the colors were slightly different. It was a cool toy, it's long gone now, no idea what actually happened to it. I remember thinking it was funny when he popped up in the 1985 catalog as a Deluxe Autobot, a little deja vu.

What you see in that photo is indeed the Convertors "Wheels" figure. I have the green version. It's fun to have as a novelty, but it's a pretty crappy toy.
