nothing is out of the realm of possibility with Hasbro. If you were to say "TRU will get Soundwave" 1 year ago, you'd get laughed off the board.

With all the movie hype though, I think Hasbro is too busy thinking about stocking national chains (Wal-Mart, Target, TRU) and not small run, store exclusives.

I think that Commemorative Soundwave was the last, but I DO want to stand corrected on that.

If Hasbro reissues anything, it will probably be something Takara recently reissued, and modified in one way or another. I say pick up the Takara ones while they are still relatively cheap.

I Just want ONE more reissue out of either hasbro or takara and they have used the mold relatively recent...I want an ARTFIRE. Both hasbro and takara used the Inferno mold in the last 5 years so we know its good, all he needs is his little TM buddy and some white paint and we are set.

We were originally told that if Soundwave sold well we would be getting more. Well he sold exceptionally well, however there have been some mgmt changes at TRU and so far Hasbro has not approached us with any new reissue ideas.

I myself would love see some REAL headmasters n' targetmasters reissued. Takara did it twice with Hotrod and Kup. That and many more will be nice!!!:thumb

Wasn't there some confirmed reports of TRU reissues for some prime molds, including G1?

    What ever happened with that?

Since they already reissued G1 Soundwave, I would be very grateful if they also reissued more of his cassettes, perhaps with the additional perk of plastic tape cases like the ones that came with SW's reissue. I nice little companion boxset of Rumble, Frenzy, Buzzsaw & Ratbat would be fantastic.

I'd still kill for official reissues of Shockwave, Jetfire and the Dinobots. I have all the original G1 versions but wouldn't second-guess buying up new versions in a heartbeat.

Same here. Although I have the originals, I would buy re-issues once they go out.
I sure want to see more re-issues getting released pretty soon.

It was mentioned in another threat that, that idea was shot down or cancelled.

And of course, now I can't find what thread............

With the success of Soundwave I'd be surprised if they didn't try it again after the movie to bank on hype. I'd still absolutely kill for Dinobots. I'd love Shockwave and Jetfire too, but since it's impossible to get them reissued I'll just live with my beat up originals.

No solid information, just like the other two TF lines that people ask about the future of 3 times a week.

... and just because Soundwave sold well doesn't mean 'background Depcepticon # 15' or whatever it's name is will sell well too.
Soundwave is highly recognisable to casual fans. There are many toys which aren't however.... if their molds are even usable anymore.

There's still hope in reissues and Classics so long as Hasbro and Takara are making Transformers. We just have to wait and see because Botcon might be the news we are all waiting for.

short term (now until movie hits): no.
Long term: anybody's guess but if the movie is a hit, there is a greater chance we will get more.

Wait until the movie is over. Then we can get back on the ball on things like that.

    I hope.
