Do you prefer G1 reissues to be as close to the originals as possible or do you like it when there are alterations made to make them more accurate such as Encore Trailbreaker's blue visor and the accurate face remold on the Bumblebee reissue.

I like both but with this Proviso: if there is something can be done to improve a figure with out changing it significantly im all for it. I wish they had given the G1 Ironhide and Ratchet reissues proper heads.

Doesn't make much of a difference to me as long as they don't have jumbo missles. The updates that you mentioned are nice thoughts by Takara, but they wern't deal makers/breakers in my decision making process.

i want them as close to the original as possible, but improvements are always welcome, like a new, better mechanism for the soundwave reissue's chest door

Keep 'em the way they were. If I want updates, I'll buy something from a newer line (like Classics).

I like them close to the originals, but I don't mind color changes and tampo graphics to make them more cartoon accurate and to replace stickers.

I'm all for updates; the Bumblebee head and other changes were nice to see. If anything, I would've preferred Astrotrain and Bluestreak come out in the cartoon accurate colors that are only available in eHobby reissues that are now rather expensive compared to the "normal" reissues. The peg on Prime's rifle being lengthened so he can hold it without issue also would've been nice.

I like creative alterations. Of the old book-style reissues that I own, Starscream is probably my favorite; what with the cartoon inspired deco and the gun-mode Megatron accessory.

I'm especially in favor of paint operations done in place of stickers.

I bought Encore Jazz and Trailbreaker just because of the updates to the visors on both, even though I have 2 primo vintages of each already

I want them to be able to use the original weapons and parts and vice versa. Right, Bruticus?

I like both . I like for it to give me the same nostalgia as the original and still be innovative, you know more bang for your buck.

Both for me. I can understand why others want as close to the OGs as possible, but I appreciate the "improvements" (tampo, more detailed paints, more toon accurate, etc.)

You can't fault an exact reissue of the original toy but tampo > stickers is definitely a good thing. But there have been some reissues that have actually gone backwards (Hasbro's 2002 Ultra Magnus & his ridiculously-long missiles) & then there's the 25th Anniv. Pinkimus Prime - officially the worst reissue ever. -_-
