g1 reissues at toys r us

    I was in toy r us at the forge retail park in Glasgow which has a huge transformers section amongst the movie stuff, classics and 20th century primes they have g1 takara reissues of prowl , tracks, skywarp and red alert all for £14.99 i'm prettty sure i've seen the same in forbidden plannet for around the £35 to £45 mark.

    I believe you mean "20th anniversary" prime.

    and those reissues are likely old hasbro reissues, since any store having the takara reissues of skywarp and red alert would take a miracle.

    UK, theyve been out for about a year.

    so in usd, prowl is $30, roughly.

    Dude, 'Glasgow', and price in pounds?

    It's Scotland, the UK.

    Crazy to hear of them in retail though...old stock still sitting there or more being pushed out just now ala the Ultra Magnus at Walmarts?

    to be fair with all the new fans trying to buy up the older toys you kinda wonder why hasbro diidn't put out some more reissues in the US

    Yeah I was wondering that. You'd think they'd see the ENORMOUS market that would magically open up for reissues of G1s when everyone 'rediscovered' transformers with hearing all about them for the movie, but no, they've left all that profit up to second market and counterfeit exact-copy KOs...
