It's not more of a stretch than 90% of all the "similarities" between g1 and Bayverse so I don't see why that would be an issue for Armada "similarities".

Yea but as you said all of the the other similarities can be identified with a 90% probability.

Reedman being classified as a Minicon, is like a 5% chance. As I said Minicons are supposed to be power boosters. Reedman didn't do that.

And since we're on the subject of Reedman; who named it Reedman?

It sounds like a Robot Master from Megaman.

Megatron turns into a big gun in the first film during the final battle and blasts Optimus threw a building.

When sam first goes to buy his Camero you see an old beat up yellow VW bug next to it. as a referance to his G1 form

Theres so many its hard not to notice.

 

Megatron never transformed into a gun in Bay's first Transformers.

 

Not his entire body but his arms combine to make a huge cannon

 

I don't recall this happening in G1.
