Sorry for the blurriness.. my camera aint that great. No painting involved... it took about two hours to cut thru the bonnet with an exacto knife so to not destroy the paint... same arm and door mods I made on my other one, but this one came out looking 100 times better.

no, sorry... both are very simple though. for the doors, just unscrew them from the legs, and peg them into the back/spoiler/shield section. as for the arms, since the bonnet is not glued into place/cut apart to make room for the head, the tiny section that is supposed to fold up and cover the tires can now be made into a forearm... all you need is some styrene or other type of plastic, and exacto knife, drill, and some glue... the new forearms are just a couple stripes of plastic cut into a rough arm shape, glued into place with a hole drilled roughly center!

..damn it, now I wanna try that lol... I might end up popping off the head, doing a little dremil action and sculpt a new face... I just really like the light piping of this guy.

I like this... it's inspiring. I think I'll likely try some of this if/when I land one of these Jazz figures. Nice job.

You could drill out his old face, and then just chop the lower face off of another TF, and glue it in place. Probably would be easier than sculpting a new one.

Wow. Inspiring. Wow... I'm kinda speechless, but glad you like it. As for the face... I really don't have any donor bots just lying around, so sculpting a new one or leaving it the way it is are my only options.

My only problem with this is that taking out two of the leg's three screws kinda weakens the whole assemblage. I might give this a go with my G1 Deco Jazz, but I'll probably look for a way to attach the doors to the shoulder - I need those pegs to keep the legs secure.

Also, have you ever been able to take the gun apart? I want to turn that snipe on the end to the other side. I don't like thinking of an up-side-down rifle as a "telescoping sword" >.>

Here's my strategy... G1 Jumpstarters have decent faces which are actually on a totally separate plate (the heads come apart into several pieces), and they're cheap on Ebay. Cut a TwinTwist or Topspin face in half to get the lips and chin, and it might work on Jazz.

Or even just cut the lower face off an old GIJoe or StarWars figure or similar... should be about the right size. Maybe use a utility knife to carve his cheekbones into something more angular, and paint it silver. Instant TF face! :)

I should probably ask S-B, but how much was it? And, you have to show pictures once it's done (not that you wouldn't).

I got an extra RH Jazz, but I don't have a drill, so trying to hollow out the hole for the neck peg with my exacto-knife isn't working too well...

Oh, yeah, did I mention I found him? :D

natch I'm gonna show it lol. And S-B has my permission to make a cast of the head, so for $10 (which is what he is charging me), you can get the exact same head.
