Hi all. I was browsing though transformers sites for some help and this forum seems to be very active.

I have a Raiden Gift set C-131 MIB. Stickers unapplied. Weapons on spree. It's really mint in a very good box. I've descided to sell my whole collection and i'm not sure where to try to sell this baby.

The "problem" is that i live in Norway. I have a feeling collectors on the other side of the world will pay less because of the shipping cost and bigger chance for toy to be damaged when shipped across half the world.

Any ideas? Try eBay? Anyone here interested in paying what it's worth?

Anyone have an idea what it's worth? I haven't seen this gift set beeing sold in a long time.

Thanks a lot for the help.

    Beautiful!

Honestly, I'd keep that, you're never going to get one that nice again.

If you do sell it, I'd hold out for a decent price. That thing looks case fresh, in fact I think it is the best condition I have ever seen a Raiden set in. You should easily be able to get $400 or more for it. Heck, you could almost name your price on that.

Seriously, if you put it on Ebay, put a reserve on it and only ship it the most secure, insured postage going, and make sure when you pack it you use plenty of bubble wrap and padding to protect it.

It's a shame you're parting with it at all, but there you go.

Not every TF collector lives on the other side of the world, you may find someone in Europe willing to buy it. As for the value, i'd have said at least $500 A boxed *unused* Raiden is quite the rarity.

Yeah considering how much that will likely go for on ebay I highly doubt the cost of international postage will be a serious consideration for anyone who is willing to bid high enough to win it.

I wish I had the sort of money to buy it.:(

thanks for reply. the thing is that i don't find collecting them fun anymore and i want to sell it and the rest of my collection. my collection isn't that great. i guss it's mostly this one and MIB unused predaking jap. giftset that are really eyecatchers.
the box is really good yes, but it shows more wear than you see on picture (flap crease and a bit overall wear. looks like it was stored in a bit wet room). but i never seen anything close to this either.

would be fun to see if i could get more estimates on price. i think i will put it on ebay, but i need a reserved price that's right.

here's a picture, just for fun, of my collection that's selling now.

Don't worry about your fear of American buyers not bidding on the auction. When it comes to popular and rare items in super mint condition, buyers don't give a damn where the seller lives. And like you said, those don't come up for sale often, and certainly not in that condition.

That will sell for a lot on Ebay. Go for it.

I'd keep it personally, I've been thinning out my own collection, but my loose Raiden is getting kept even if everything else goes, thats one piece thats likely to continue going up in value plus it just such a cool figure in general. You should easily be able to get $500US for it, probably more. In that condition he'll get alot of interest as you can already tell.

He's a rarity that's for sure... I wouldn't be surprised if it would reach the near $600 mark on ebay.

I can't see the image but it sounds like its practically new. Also looking at the time of these posts 3 yrs have passed and an unused raiden giftset has more than doubled even quadrupled to what has been mentioned here ($1,2k - 2k). I was lucky enough to get an unused giftset few days ago for just over 1k... very lucky!

Well, as a consolation, I did see a fellow member posting a C-131 Raiden (Used) for sale in the Junkion/Items For Sale thread so that's hint hint for you.

damn it, this is the second zombie thread I started reading in a row. I wish I could find a loose complete Raiden for 4-500 bones now, I wish my concept of "expensive" when it came to TFs was a little bit different back then.
