I'm new to the board and I'm just trying to get back into the transformers world. I do have a question. Is there an easy way to fix broken transformers? How easy is it to replace arms, legs, heads, etc? GI Joe figures are very easy to replace body parts. Are transformers more difficult or even possible?

    Depends heavily on the break.

Popped off balljoints are obviously very easy, some busted joints are easy to fix, some are pretty much impossible. Really depends on what you're working with.

Thanks! I know with GI Joes you can get screws and O-rings easily enough. What about some of the pins that were used?

If you're talking about repairing an arm or a leg in G1, I would highly recommend you cannibalize a junker. Some of the little screws are interchangeable, but there is a lot of variety in the different parts that G1 used.

What I did early on in my G1 quest is buy a bunch of lots (for pretty cheap), and then I cannibalize the junkers to complete other bots from other lots when needed. Get to know the bots though, because some things are fixable, some aren't!

Just work the injury into your battle. Say Megatron blew off Optimus's leg or whatever the injury may be.

That might be the best option! LOL

Is there a market for broken Transformers?
