Is it possible to retrofit G2 Prime's voice box onto G1 Prime's trailer?? And what is that voice box doing actually? Pre-recorded stuff or does it change your voice like the Magnus voice synthesizer?
Not sure if it will fit, I never opened my G2 Prime. But the voice box has sounds and pre-recoreded voice. Not Peter Cullen, so don't get your hopes up.
tried it years with my old G1 trailer (although mexican version, it should be the same as everywhere else), and didnt work... dunno if it fits on the reissue´s since they used the G2 mold
it'll fit just fine. it plugs into the hole in the front. no modifications were done to the trailer itself for the G2 release.
Yes the box fits on G1 trailer an onto Primes back but it black and not gray. The sounds are a truck motor like rumble, a laser zapping sound and a voice saying “I am Optimus Prime!”
I wonder if it would be possible to repaint it to match the G1 trailer... I really hate the black trailer.
I always thought the black was rather sharp, myself. Went well with the darker blue of the robot mode. Of course, it is easy to repaint... Just use masking tape to keep paint off the chromed bits and LEDs, and other bits like that, then paint away. You might even disassemble it and paint it that way, but be careful since the electronics may not want to go back in the same as before.
