G1 prime wins in anything but a fight to the death, as movie prime appears to be the only one of the two willing to brutally murder his opponents. G1 prime comes from a continuity where abilities are just so ridiculous, that the (and it pains me to say this) more realistic movie continuity wouldn't stand a chance.

 

Movie Prime.

Not because he's vicious or evil, he's not. He has all the qualities of G1 Prime, except he's a actual soldier, in a war, and kills to win battles. He's not the good guy in a saturday morning cartoon. Killing the enemy, especially an evil enemy, doesn't make you evil. That's just stupid.

Plus he's a lot bigger.

G1 Prime from the series would win because of his ridiculous assortment of powers.

G1 Prime from the '86 movie would lose because all it took was a couple shots from a simple laser pistol to do him in.

This, too. And maybe they would fight because one of them is corrupted by Unicron or something... (that's a good fan fic plot! -goes to text document- ) and there's a fight to the death.

 

Since when was Movie Prime a more vicious character? I recall G1 Prime smashing into Ramjet at full speed before taking out a good 10 or so Decepticons in a matter of seconds before getting into it with Megatron in Autobot City.

Movie Prime had a pretty tough time with 4 or 5 in the forest scene.

G1 Prime takes this EASILY.

 

G1 Prime would blasts movie Prime away with his cannon. He also have a killer axe.

 

I'd also say Movie Prime.

Both are really cool. But the movie Prime seems to be able to destroy without much thought. That, and he is bigger.

Both are bad arses though.

While Movie Prime would put up a good fight, G1 Prime would own. G1 Prime, being "boxy" and all, has more armor and has already proven the ability to witstand fusion cannon blasts and energy impacts (can't think of the weapon Megs used when Prime was using his energon ax on top of Sherman Dam).

Movie Prime has displayed the ability to lose pieces.

How do we know Movie Prime is bigger than G1 Prime?

 

G1 prime, if you base the physics of how Tfs were in the cartoon vs the movie where human weapons are very damaging. Really I think its a draw, Prime is king in every incarnation so they would trade blows and both end up falling.

 

Just one question to the majority of the posters in this thread. When was it shown that G1 Prime was invulnerable to the human weaponry?

 

G2 Prime > RotF Prime >> G1 Comic or Toon Primes

Never, he needn't the dinobots to back him and the autobots up in that episode against US military equipment that was controlled by megs. Also that British Hunter guy had stuff built that was able to damage Optimus.

 

Been a while since I have seen those episodes, but I don't remember anyone being really hurt. I'm not saying Prime is invincible, just a lot more impervious to human weapons in the cartoons than the movie. That makes him tougher.

 

Bigger truck, hell, the whole reason of a non-g1 truck was to have him be as big as the military Decepticons.

 

the decepticons in the forest where starscream megatron and grindor. all very powerful and even more powerful than G1 seekers and all those guys.

movie prime could blast G1 prime away with his TWO cannons. notice in ROTF prime never misses anything he hits with his guns, but in G1 prime and all the Autobots just shoot randomly in a firefight with the deceps and never hit anything.
Movie prime is definetly better. Swords or Axe. One gun or two guns. also G1 prime always forgets he has an axe and only uses it in one episode [i think]

That's not nearly as vicious as rippings faces off or crushing sparks or shooting faces or stabbing faces or ripping heads off with hooks or breaking arms with his bares hands or shooting faces with the other guy's gun or...
