No energon axe  

Getting two rifles is nice though, if you don’t like the C.O.M.B.A.T. System-ports on the Siege Voyager figure you could give one from the G1 reissue to him.

 

No Energon axe? Bummer. Easy pass for me, but I might grab it if it goes cheap like Hot Rod.

 

Are these in stores yet in the us?

 

I just hope the color isn’t as bad as the 25th, and that it doesn’t have the janky front wheel pegs that I think that version had (can’t tell on my phone and my computer went tits tonight).

 

Yup, I'm fully on board with this. I need a G1 Prime to display in robot mode so no need for a trailer.

$50 is a bit too steep though, so I hope he can be had for a better price.

 

For that price I’d rather get a Chinese “reissue” with the trailer and all accessories.

 

So rounded flap corners and an instruction booklet more closely resembling the G1 original. Shame they didn't do that for wave 1.

 

Releasing Prime without the trailer is a great idea for a budget re-issue... but $50 is far from budget pricing. Hell, wasn't the 25th Anniversary release 50 as well and that was complete with extras like a comic?

I'm fine with no trailer but I thought, "This mean he'll be more affordable, right? $20?" 50 Bucks. Wow.

 

Might be a retail shelf space issue. This reissue can likely be distributed into Walmarts that don’t carry the bigger figures.

Same, been thinking about going this route a lot actually. I think you can pretty much get the entire first season cast.

 

Since he has long stacks and the trailer most fans have, I'm guessing this is part of an apology for having to give us short stacks for 15 years. And way to keep it less expensive. It would easily be $60 WITH the trailer, and I'm guessing with Ultra Magnus they would just increase the price to the $60 price @rapid_fire

After buying the 25th anniversary Optimus Prime, I can find a good use for this prime. However I would of been happier buying the entire thing for one thing the nostalgia on the box and box SIZE alone would be greater then this packaging.

 

This is a great idea. Prime has been reissued several times with the trailer, which honestly I have always left in the box.

I'd like to grab a few of these for sure. Also yay long smokestacks!!!!

 

It's funny, when I first saw the reissue cab only, I did not think of the transfomrable G1 Prime himself. Instead, lol, my 1st impression was to pass since I mistakenly him for:

 

I am getting this guy for sure and now I need to track down a g1 Soundwave.
