The Asia rereleases of Commemorative Optimus and Magnus had it so it's far from unthinkable. That's why I'm curious if they've tooled the hole back out or not.

 

Thanks for the comparison. The older Prime in the pictures looks to be the 2002 Commemorative Series version, but I could be wrong. I don't know if I like how bright the colors look on this new one, the chrome looks great through. I'll definitely get this reissue, anything G1 Prime I'm a sucker for, just wish that price wasn't so bad.

 

My local Walmart just got them in today, we got a case of six off the truck today so after I clocked out I went over and grabbed one from the skid sitting by the toy aisle so they probably won't be on the shelf till tomorrow. Used up what was left of my gift card as well as my employee discount and ended up walking home with my own G1 Optimus for 35 bucks.

 

Checked to see if this guy was on the shelfs at my local walmart yesterday, Prime was absent but was happy to see a bunch of hot-rods marked down to 15.00 so I picked one up.

 

What states have these been found in. Any reports in the south east?

 

Has anyone seen any in Michigan I haven't seen optimus or any of the minibots

 

Got a love Walmart screwup’s they had the new Optimus prime on the shelf with the wrong tag made them price match it got it for $20

My Wal-Mart is doing their post-Christmas resets and they have a spot marked for G1 Optimus. Just no Optimus. But according to Brickseek, they have six in the back so it should be out shortly....hopefully. This was the same Wal-Mart that waited a month or so and put out the Mini-bots after Christmas.

 

Roseville Walmart has/had Op and most of the minibots a few hours ago - there was still one OP and all but Outback when I left.
Hall Rd (Chesterfield) is listed as having Op, they put their minibots out on New Year's Eve, so I don't know if they have any left now.

 

Everytime I try to rationalize it and try to convince myself that it is ok that there's no trailer included the next thing I think about is the price tag.



Then I turn into Randy Jackson from American Idol.

 

Supply and demand, to some degree. Where else are you going to find a brand new, authentic Hasbro G1 Oprimus Prime, MISB, for $50? A thing is only worth however much you/someone will pay for it...

 

Yeah, I hate to be one of those guys..........but I'm waiting to see if this makes it to clearance, I just dont see it being worth $50.
