hello g1 is apparently coming to dvd again do you think that is a good idea. The re-release of the movie was better on dvd than the rhino version but the rhino dvds on the series had great extras. If the series does come on dvd i hope it includes new botcon coverage as well as different japanese commercials or us commercials

It sounds like G1 will definitely be re-released. I believe BBTS has Season 1 up for pre-order.

I can only hope that the re-release of the series will be as good as the 20th anniversary edition of the movie. Hope they have plenty of good extras, too.

I can't see them re-releasing the G1 episodes without some type of new extras that have been dug out of the archives. Either way I will be picking up myself a copy.

About damn time. I'm interested to see how many of the animation errors they clean up, if any. And hopefully they don't try to "re-master" the sound like Rhino did by adding giant, unnecessary explosion noises.

I will definitely buy it. I already own the whole set but with extras or new artwork it is still worth picking up.

    Yes!

The 1984 original cartoon series was the best of them all!

I'm hoping once Madman gets a hold of them for the Australians/New Zealanders they'll actually remember to put some subtitles in (I'm a bit hard of hearing, it was a bit frustrating watching the other Transformer DVDs seeing that they didn't have any subtitles as an option in them)

Already own it twice, so I'll be passing. It's simply not good enough for me to buy it again on the promise of different extras.

Since I only have seasons 1 & 2 on VHS, I'll be grabbing season one on DVD for certain. And, if they keep going and also release seasons 2 & 3. I'll grab them too.
