Here is the start the I have on my G1 Nemesis Prime. I plan on finishing him, once I get his lower torso, and legs. Im making this for someone, who is sending me a Prime to do this, and I had some spare parts, so I decided to start early. So far, I got his upper body done, and his head, even though his head isnt in the pic. This is just one of many bashes to come for this client, and he likes custom G1 stuff, and I like Regular G1 stuff. :D

EDIT: Ok, I finished him. I came up with a backstory for him, and will post that later, if I remember. Yes, I did write Nemesis on the side of the trailer.

Paint aps look pretty good, kinda hard to tell though, the pix a little fuzzy (no fault of yours though). I'll keep my eye on this one.

It's pretty hard not to offend when you call his work "reppetitave trash".

I see the point wavelength is trying to make, but I agree with you how he went about doing it. Personally, I don't think ANYONE's work here on any level should be referred to as "trash."

Constructive critisim is always welcome (i.e. "That's some good work there! Have you considered ____ ?"); crudeness is not (words like 'trash,' etc referring to others work on any level), even if you are trying to make a positive point ('Rattrap has skills').

By the way, Rattrap, G1 Nemesis Prime is shaping up! I can't wait to see it finished! Keep 'em comin'!

opinions are like a-holes... everyone's got one and they usually stink.

i've noticed so many people who couldn't do what you do will tactlessly bash your work... (you being anyone, not just you)

don't let it get to you. (i'm sure you don't anyway, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in, i think your skills are great!) it's also nice that you do work for others :)

One man's trash is another man's treasure. :-D

We could dissect the symantics of what Wavelength was trying to say, but I think the message was clear despite a poor choice of words on their behalf.

I agree that some of the N. Primes are getting long in the tooth, but hey, I'm a sucker for cool black trucks. Keep up the work, looking awesome. Rattrap, are you also doing a custom trailer to go with the cab portion?

I would be, but he said that he has a spare G2 trailer to go with him. Oh well, less fun for me. :)

Less fun? Less work! I'm sure, like most of us, once you're finished with this project there is one already waiting for you. I have two technically finished that I just need to post some photos of sometime this week. If it hadn't been for my Transformers and customs I would've lost my mind long ago.

I just wanted to say thanks to Rattrap for doing this custom for me and to those of you who think it's not worth it....well it's better then going and paying $75 for a repro. This way i trade him G1 for custom G1's it works out for both of us.

    Thanks again rattrap

I think what he meant to say was that when making a Nemesis Prime, the options are kind of limited, and that perhaps the whole Nemesis Prime concept is a little restrictive.

my apologies. nemisis himself looks like ge was molded in those colours though and should you ever go into the commissions market you would be able to charge a high price but still have very satisfied customers

Looking nice. :thumb  Two suggestions, though:

Nemesis Prime/Scourge typically has teal somewhere on him. I'd look at the SDCC Alt. Nemesis and match that where you can.

Secondly, what if, instead of using a sharpie to write "Nemesis" on the side of the trailer, you ripped away the sticker so that the exposed plastic underneath spelled "Nemesis"? I'm not sure if that would look better, but it was just a thought.

I have a spare G2 trailer. I may try something like this. I always wanted a Jafcon Prime.

Problem is finding a cab with near perfect chrome... Might have to pick up a clearanced Pepsi Prime reissue.
