Something odd I noticed, that Megatron seems to have a BG from the Junkion planet. Which he was never on. Could just be a non-detailed version of Autobot city buildings too I suppose.

These things look great. The lack of outlines gives them a look that I'm really into. I would love to own these.

Unfortunately I also love to pay my mortgage.

Hmm... definitely the Junk planet... however the pose Megs is in reminds me of the fight between he and Prime. In particular when he jumps in the air and comes back and Prime kicks him. I'm not sure though.

LOL you hit the nail right on the head buddy. I almost cried when I saw the prices for those cels. I guess it's reasonable for what they are, but its also reasonable why I wouldn't bother with them.

Isn't that the same lady that was trying to sell her husband's entire collection for $10 million or something? The cells look nice, but not 8 grand nice.

Assuming the cel is genuine, it would just be the character in the foreground, with the background a separate piece, anyway, so it's pretty easy to mix-and-match to get such a phenomenon as Megatron on Junkion.

That said, I'm not under the impression that G1 Transformers cels are worth anything close to $7500, but admit that I can't speak for cels from this particular show, not having seen too many of them on the open market. Cels for other shows, however, can be gotten quite cheaply. I got some Real Ghostbusters cels a month or two back for just a few bucks apiece.

If nothing else, I'd want a Certificate of Authenticity.

I did a quick search on Google for "'Animation cels' Transformers", and have found a few others. Not tons, mind you, and the price seems to range pretty wildly, starting at the low $100+ area. Still, the highest I've seen was $800, a far cry from $7500.

I would easily buy a print of these. I don't even care if they're genuine or not. I just think they look good.

I'm starting to call shinanagins. Look at the other cels. Crisp and clean. Now look at hers. Wrong backgrounds, no detail lines. all parts kinda look like art class work..

They are genuine, many G1 cel's ended up on the wrong backgrounds

The detail lines are sometimes an overlay sheet which can be missing

They are lovely cels, but a tad pricey!

    She's gotta be smoking.

I mean, did she just imply to us that her husband died and he could take it with him?

So why would we want to spend 3 full paychecks to have something that is 22 yrs old that does do not anything, easily jackable, and we cannot take it with us when we die? and he paid no more than $60 dollars for it.

I'm a fan but not that type of fan. 7500 for all, not each.

Well even she says she isnt expecting them to go for that price. She doesn't know what they are worth, thats why theres the best offer buttons.

I like Sharkticon without the line art and Starcream. Not so sure about Prime and Megs. Being a fan of backgrounds I'd buy them for those as much as the characters and Id probably attempt to redo the lines. On a separate cell obviously.:)

I imagine the fact they are from the movie will increase the price beyond what the episode cels go for, but the fact they are incomplete may put of some.

$7,500....WTF is seller on crack. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard G1 fans, but TF's movie was a "B" movie at best, cells should be about $50.00

You can get authentic Steamboat Willy cells for under $7,500
