Is there any chance Hasbro or Takara will reissue the six figures that make up Monstructor.

I'd prefer Dinoking over Monstructor but who knows....

Takara really hasn't released anything other than early G1 stuff (84-87).

since there has been no hurry to reissue the G1 japanese cassettes and other G1 characters that were "not mainstream" i would severely doubt they will see a reissue any time soon.

Personally, I'd rather have a new mold Monstructor/Pretender Monsters, based on their IDW incarnations.

Mostly no. I know he's expensive but you can collect him for a reasonable price if you're patience.

I would say not very likely but 5 years ago I would have said the same thing about Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme and Metroplex.

Apparently the Monster Pretenders were on clearance at a lot of places when they were originally released. I had one as a kid and never really took him out of his combined mode, the individual robots kind of sucked. I would buy a set if they reissued them though.

Never say never....except that first time.... in any case, if Hasbro thinks they can make money they will try. I do believe that Takara still has the molds so technically it is not out of the question but if they do what they usually do, they will try to gauge interest based on past sales and see that pretenders did not do very well so.....

I think this is a real long shot. They weren't exactly strong sellers the first time around. And it's not like they are memorable characters, so there wouldn't be a whole lot of nostalgia factor. The only real market would be complete-ist collectors, and most of them want the originals.
I just can't see it happening.

Hey, we got Multiforce a few years back. Dinoforce were in the same series, so anything's possible. I'd love to have both Dinoking AND Monstructor, myself...

I'm definitely not planning on it, but I'd also definitely buy one.

I think it's highly unlikely, given the obscurity of the characters and the probable lack of demand for it. However, it's a set that I'd like to see reissued if only because a good condition vintage set is going to be harder and harder to find as time goes on, what with the GPS on Slog and Bristleback and the rubber rot on the Pretender shells.

Monstructor and Dinoking were two sets I didn't mind the high prices on, since they are such mediocre offerings as to most certainly fail if reissued. Still, I do like them, they're kind of like Legends class Pretenders.

I would prefer either Devastator, Predaking or Liokaiser

    Monstructor seems pretty much impossible.

Dino King... the way Takara are so slow to churn out reissues, (they seem to be getting SLOWER these days), the way they keep reissuing the same early G1 toys again and again, then 'rebooting' reissue lines, it seems very unlikely.
