I consulted e3nine's very informative post with the comparison pics, and I am going with KO on this one. The auction pic is just not good enough for me to be sure. Sharpen them eagle eye's and settle my curiousity. I have both and I'm pretty sure it's the KO. the grey border around the box art is too thin at the bottom.
100% KO. You can tell easily just looking at the boxart. It has to touch the right edge. This one is more to the left. And oh yeah: here's the auction where he bought it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260152260038 So much for his story bout his son serving the country. This guy telling everybody he's the dad of some guy serving his country in Iraq and all that and selling off his son's collection. Well then he's buying a lot too for his son, cause he bought a lot of TF's lately.
thats not prime. I think I will send him a message. I'm back and heres my message: nemesis_maelstroma: "man, your selling a Knockoff. you know it, and your feedback from artmode is letting everyone else know it. trying to pass this off as original and telling everyone your getting rid of your sons toys when your still buying and selling is starting to catch up with you. by the way, this mirage is way too easy to spot as a KO." we will wait and see what his response is.
and his response: actually sir this was not purchased thru ebay and was found in a box as I was going thru my sons things. The one that was purchaSED was not paid for as myself and seller agreed to leaVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK as my other son is bidding due to seeing how much money I am bringing in. He bids low & just does not read auction. Thank you for the update anyways.
Hahaha, this guy's funny!!! I know this guy a couple of months now. I saw he was selling beautiful stuff a while ago. All together with the "serving in Iraq" story. I was suspicious right then, cause I thought. Why would anyone let his dad sell his beloved collection while you are serving in Iraq??? Then I saw what this guy was buying lately. He also bids on lots of things I always watch on eBay (MIB stuff). My opinion is that if you're selling something off of eBay, I just want to know things about the toy itself, and NOT that you're son is servin in Iraq, your husband's passed away and your mother's selling her ... off behind the railwaystation!! I DON'T CARE!!!!! I just want your Transformer!!!!
I sent the guy a polite message yesterday asking if he could provide a clearer pic of the front so I could validate whether or not this was a fake. He has not responded, something tells me he won't.
I don't know why people are shelling out big bucks for a KO?? (This will end up higher) Do they REALLY think that this is a real G1 figure?? Or don't they give a rat's ass???? That's just like paying $100 + for a KO of a G1 Optimus Prime in black?? WTF??? I want in on that scam.....
