    Hello

I bought a G1 mirage at a flea market about 10 yrs ago and have just recently looked at completing him

He does not have a rear spoiler..is this supposed to detach or is it just broken off and I should look at getting another fig

    thanks

I'm not sure, I don't have mine to hand. It is on a hinge so it is entirely possible that it broke off. It forms the feet, so I doubt it would detach, at least not very easily.

You might be best off getting a new one with all his parts. Might work out cheaper and certainly easier in the long run.

Mirage's spoiler is in 2 pieces; one for each foot. Each piece snaps onto a metal part at the back of the car. They are removable, but with difficulty.
You can see the metal parts through the holes in the spoiler on my one here:

The chrome on these pieces is very often badly worn (this goes for all Mirage's chromed parts), so if you're looking for them you might want to keep an eye out for that.

I belive if they are off, it would be hard to find replacements, then again a lot of them broke at the waist...

Having dismantled mine to clean him up prior to applying Reprolabels, I can say in all honesty that his waist joint is terrifyingly thin.
