    Commission upgraded G1 Metroplex.
Customer (a member right here at TFW!) sent me a few links to show generally what he wanted- a huge highly articulated upgrade to G1 Metroplex. He and I loved the way Toby's big Metroplex build looked, so I used that idea for the torso and thighs build, made sure it was still transformable, and painted it in mostly the original G1 toy colors.
Metroplex stands at 17 inches tall.

Super sick! Very heroic looking. Really dig the way the robot mode looks. Base mode is cool too but it's just a base sitting there

I always preferred Metroplex to Fort Max when I was a kid......this makes the kid in me squeal with glee.

    Epic.

Thanks guys!! And yep, the customer has already pooped himself repeatedly. :)
I pooped myself some too so it wouldn't be so awkward.

Looks awesome. If you were able to find a way to make the original thighs slide into the lower legs, it would help a little, bc as is he looks just a TAD bit spindly. But still looks cool.

Oh it was. I hate my Gundam panel liners because they look like sharpie markers but they do make for more crisp line work on the flat broad areas. I did a mix of about 60% ink wash and 40% panel liner.
Mixing several puddles of the off white from the original toy colors and applying that was a lot of time and work too.
