Wow. Thats insanely overpriced. Also, what happened to the "G1 Megatron will never be sold in the US again because its a gun" argument? Awesome that stores like Target and WM are selling them though. It makes me wonder why Hasbro has not bothered to make affordable reissues here. The "we lost the mold" excuse/lie is not applicable to these figures, so I would like to see Hasbro try and explain themselves on this issue.

These aren't being sold in stores. The only reason they're being offered through the Wal-Mart and Target websites is because they're being sold by a third party. That's why they have the ridiculously high prices and how Megatron is being sold despite Hasbro confirming they would never release any reissue of him. Hasbro has nothing to explain.

I just sold mine for less than that. And if the winner of my Megatron doesn't pay for him by Sunday, I'll sell him for less than that again.

I don't really like the idea of third-party sellers on sites like Target, WalMart, and even Amazon. It really, REALLY confuses people and draws an association between reputable stores and these faceless, non-credible third-party seller...and I can't imagine why these credible stores would WANT that association. Is the money they get that good?

It wouldn't be as bad if people would just pay attention, but I'm constantly having to point out to my wife, friends and parents that, "No, that's not actually from Amazon, that's from ZUTROY5501 in Albany who may or may not send you your item."

If these stores are going to basically have little Ebays going on within their confines, they should create an entirely seperate website for it rather than mix the items in with their own product. IMHO.
