I picked up a G1 Jetfire in really good shape, but does not have the rubsign on his head. It is not one with the Macross logos, so was he ever released without a rubsign sticker?

Did you buy him loose? Some people I know hated the occasionally odd placements of the rubsigns and removed or re-sited them. Maybe that has happened here. After all, a rubsign on the head isn't pretty.

Yeah, I got him loose. My guess is that it fell off, but I have seen other Jetfires in better shape that didn't have the head sticker either. I agree that the head was a bad place to put the rubsign. It is no big deal either way, I just wondered if they were ever released without them.

My Jetfire does not have a rubsign anywhere -- and never did. And that one has been in my possession since I opened the box on Christams morning of 1985.
