    Hey all,

I was thinking about G1 Jetfire, like would you consider him to be a
Masterpiece or not,to me if you take his design, complexity to transform,
and articulation the I would almost consider him a masterpiece. The only
thing keeping him from being one is his lack of leg movement except at
the knees. Also of note why he is almost masterpiece is his excellent arm
movements, something you rarely seen in 1984 or '85 figures.

So I ask all if you think he is or not?.I would rate him 9 out of 10 of being
    one,even tho he technically isn't.

I dunno...maybe a mini MP. He should probably be bigger for a masterpiece.

I would love to see a Masterpiece SKYfire that just looked just like the cartoon!!

    I say yes!
Given the technology at the time, the quality and engineering put it as Granpa Masterpiece. A little sleaker fit and finish and he'd go head to head with MP Starscream.

No. G1 Jetfire was a Macross figure.

A Masterpiece Skyfire would have to be fairly cartoon-accurate.

The only thing that qualifies G1 Jetfire as a "Masterpiece" is the jingle needed to acquire one in good condition. :lol

Nope. It's a very solid G1 toy, but that's it. A Masterpiece Skyfire/Jetfire toy will exist when Takara releases a new mold for the Masterpiece line for that character.

I personally think G1 Shockwave could be more fittingly called "Masterpiece."

yamato did an awesome 1/48 macross vf-1s, the same mold they used for jetfire:

it's bigger and a lot more detailed + poseable then the g1.

YES, I would LOVE to have a MP Jetfire. That would look really good next to the ones I have already.

The g1 toy (while very nice) comes up short on detail and articulation if viewed as a masterpiece. I also hope they'd manage to make the body sculpt look a tiny better than it did originally.

    So I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.
