hi, i just got a G1 Jetfire (it was a graduation gift)
its' only flaw is that the red paint has rubed off and
the white is showing in 3 places (2 really small ones
on nose and 1 really small one on the chest) anyone has tips for fixing this? Should i just leave it alone. I was thinking about useing a red permanent marker, should i try it?

Thanks for any help an d God Bless,
    Dayv

That's a great graduation gift! I remember my mom buying jetfire for me as a kid.

Rather then swap parts with a junker, id get one to test red paints/markers on.

As nice as the "perfect" specimens are that are out there, I like to leave my vintage TFs in the condition I buy them in. Occasionally I pick up some Reprolabels if the piece is sticker-free. Do a little dusting, and clean up and they make a great addition to the collection. I have found that it is near impossible to get a paint match, or to have it cover flawlessly. You will always know that the paint is chipped or missing in that area, and you will notice it every time you look at the figure.....just my two cents.
