g1 jazz question

    i recently purchased a g1 jazz complete, still in the box and even the missles are still attached to the peg something i noticed is the panels above both of the front wheels and both of the doors are a little different color white ( a little darker ) is that normal or ?

    well i was just asking cuz i have been looking for the figure for quite sometime now and i didnt want to have gotten jipped or anything

    yeah, that's normal for most. Prowl too. it's really hard to find vintage figures that have those parts still bone white. I'm not even sure if they ever were. i don't remember as a kid what they looked like as I didn't care about that when I was 7 years old. lol.

    Its difficult to get around yellowing on a piece that old.

    Yea that's something fairly typical. It's because of the rest of the hood being die cast and those parts being plastic.

    discoloring is normal for g1's, that's why i recommend reissues :)

    Yep. encore is pretty good. the face sculpt was redone. cause the other reissue faces are a little screwed up.

    Right on... no you didn't get jipped... not because of that at least. The hood is die cast metal so it wouldn't degrade, but the fender pieces are plastic so after all this time they're bound to yellow some... unless it was locked away in the basement of the Smithsonian or something with absolutely no light.

    As someone else alluded to already it may have even yellowed in as little as a year after its release.

    plastic naturally yellows, nothing you can do about it.

    you think these toys are bad now? wait another 40 or 50 years, we will have no white transformers left, they will all be yellow mwuahahaha
