    ok guys here I go!!!!

some of you did not like my original Ironhde & Ratchet custom heads for many reasons, and I have to admit, mot emphasized one was the out of proportion too low arms with those clips.

even though I think(as many of you who have already bought my clips in ebay) that tey are very good and FAR better that those ridiculous cardboard heads from TAKARA.

well, the fact for this post is that I also was concerned with the out of proportion issue and even tried to modify a piece in a junk ironhide to make the arms swivel so they could be in a higher position, but is too impractical.

so, given this problem i thought that a WWI style version of te heads had to be done, and, after two days of hard work, the results are these, please comment and feedback, i am currently working to produce kits for sale, if anyone is interested.

    thanks!

I've gotta say, these look a lot better. Fitting the head to the seat rather than trying to put it above the windscreen is a massive improvement, and unless I'm mistaken, it looks like you've picked out a better head mould to modify, too. The original versions looked to me to be from a cheap KO-bot - at least something looked very off about them - but these look like they could actually be from a genuine TF.

I won't be partaking myself, but good luck with 'em. :thumb

if I may, I'd suggest painting the clip area that surrounds the actual heads to a dark contrasting color so the heads don't blend in?

    you quoted:

You can't make everybody happy. That said, I had nothing wrong to say about the kits you were selling. My concern is that the toy itself is terrible so even if I give it a new face it still is a terrible toy but that again is only my opinion.
I admire your skills tho! The kits you make still are great and do improve the G1 toys... a sticker as a face really sucked big time!
I'd love to be able to sculpt and make recasts like you do!

Are there any youtube type tutorials on how to do things like that?
That is brilliant work. And the inspiration is right up my ally, those ww designs made the windshield extending above the head move look great, even on bots that never had it like Kup and Trailbreaker.

Why not check e-bay where he's been selling these awesome customs for the last month or so under the username 'trabludog.'

I already got the non-WW versions and they are excellent IMO...

Was trudging through some really old posts and came across this thread.Wholly crap, why didn't Hasbro do this from the get go?I hated playing with my sticker faced Ratchet as a kid because of the lameness of that face.Great idea, beautiful work.Too bad I sold my entire g1 collection back in June or I would have purchased one of these.
