couldn't find a forum for trade questions, so I'm assuming it goes here.

I have a mostly complete set of G1 insecticons (which I never noticed for about eight years), minus Bombshell's 'tesla' rifle. I wish to trade these for some CHUG figs. They are kinda worn, any idea on what I can get with 'em?

8-15 depending on condition of the figures and weapons I would say...

Yeah. They wouldn't be worth much. You could probably get one figure for them. One of the more recent or common figures..

Interesting as I have one kicking around as well from back in the day.

    ............wow.

Okay, fairly well-played with, since they were my favs, a bit of chrome wear, and the stickers are peeling. Bit issue is the bombshell's horn only stays put if on the robot mode position, or folded onto the head covering it with the horn facing forward.

Otherwise, they are in very good condition. Overall, they've survived a kid's playing with despite being 15 years old when I got them.

I was surprised these were low on the value charts myself. I got shrapnel and kickback complete with boxes for 20 total. It just shows you they are not high on the popularity list even though I thought the way kickback talked on the show was awesome.

I don't think its necessarily a lack of popularity, I just honestly think its an extreme abundance of them. I'd say that second to topspin/twintwist, they're usually the figures I find in every lot or every garage sale. I think there's just so damn many of them out there that that's why they're so cheap.

Okay, the CHUG figures I'd try to trade them for:
    Ironhide
    Bumblebee
    Mirage
    Silverstreak (or Smokescreen)
    Hound

    are they worth those five?

    I'd lean towards no.

    Okay.

I want some CHUG figs, but currently I have been busy dredging up my TFs. I know that I have a complete set of G1 Cyclonus, Scourge, and Galvatron.

Henkei hound was reissued and you can it fairly cheap last i looked.
    (Silver)Streak is due a reissue.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ironhide and Mirage are reissued down the road as well........or perhaps less desirable to some, knocked off.

Mmm. So Hound and Mirage should be the two I shoot for?

Those three are worth quite a bit more if they have accessories.

Yep. The guns, scourge's torpedo thing, and galvy's weird and unnecessary gun.

May try to trade them for a bunch of HA stuff.

They might be worth a Bumblebee or a Hound. But not all five.

What you have listed for wants is an average of about 25 each. Ironhide is in the 40s. I found a Mirage for 13 but passed on it and now he's 30ish lately. It would be easier to buy them and sell your G1s on eBay.

Oh. Okay. I'll see if I can get BB and Mirage. I'll also have to talk to my dad and see if he's cool with it.

Anyone on this thread willing to trade a classics BB and classics Mirage for my insecticons?

If I didn't have all 3 I would consider it. My bombshell needs a new horn. Oh keep in mind for Bee that there is the classics version with white stripes and the Reveal The Shield version with black stripes and rub symbol (both the same mold). I personally like the RTS better. If there is a Ross in your area you may find him there for 7 dollars. Lots of RTS have been showing up there.

Also if you have Rite Aid near you they have had old classics lately. They sell for 17.99 but you could find some of what you are looking for. Ifyou have those 2 stores I personally would like to see what you find. There are some real gems out there.

I found Sideswipe, Galvatron, and 2 Prowls.

    Ebay:
insectacons never were that expensiv and the TFc reissue, HAsbro Reissue and the knock offs in original packing kinda dips them further down the scale.
