If you had to chose between Reissue Hot Rod at $35 or TFC Hot Rod at $70, which one would you go for?

I am thinking TFC one because of the Targetmaster. Also, is $70 for that considered a good price?

The 15th Anniversary Hot Rod or the Targetmaster reissue? Personally, I'd probably snag the 15th anniversary version.

G1 box, awesome sticker, and it's cheap!

Yeah, but it's missing the Targetmaster. LOL. Not sure why that bugs me so much.

I'd say TFC. That whole line is made from awesome, from what I've seen.

TFC ultimate Hot Rod! Comes with the targetmaster and the original guns, flame deco in tampographed on, and the box has awesome artwork. One of my favourite purchases ever when it came out.

Well, in addition to the targetmaster AND the original guns, TFC Hot Rod's chest is painted instead of the sticker that the reissue has, and the side flame stickers are redone and painted on the TFC version.

If I remember right, the reissue has the pins in the shoulders like the original, whereas the TFC one uses the revamped shoulders that pop in and out freely that were first used for TRU Rodimus Major, if that makes any difference to you.

Personally, I have the TFC one, and am really happy with it.

Both. Hot Rod for your 1986 shelf, Targetmaster for '87.

You need to make sure your movie cast looks complete, and also in case you want to re-enact 'Rebirth'. Just saying. <pew pew>

Be aware though, the Takara reissue comes in 2 varieties: with arm pins and without (i.e. identical to the Hasbro reissue)

Yeah, if I had no Hot Rod and was looking for which version I should get, I think that article would sell me on the TFC version as well.

Probably because Targetmasters kick so much ass.

Probably depends what you intend to do with it. Display it in box? Open it up?

The TFC one is definitely the better display piece for me. The great box art, the window showing everything inside. Plus, it fits nicely into your bookshelf :D
