I wasn't put off by it at all actually... I just found the one statement to be rather humorous. Translated bluntly, it basically said: "We're not snobs, your shit's just not good enough to hang with us..." C'mon, is that not just a little funny to anyone? I'm not trying to whine, be a dick, or upset anyone...I just thought it was amusing. I guess I have a strange sense of humor.

Heh... Well in 1997, $250 wasn't so much a deal... It was about the going rate. The Japanese dealers were still dumping off clearance G1 toys that no one wanted over there... Good times, good times....

You know I get people telling me/commenting about the transformation process of G1s, about how "idiot-proof" they really are because you don't ever need to look at those instructions when you attempt to TF a toy piece.

Only a single high-dollar G1 TF is required to be a member. Don't let the collections of some of the guys with 20+ grails discourage you   When they started out, they were like you!

 

You're right, Automorpher - Raiden is fairly complex.

Heck, G1 Devastator is about ten times as complex as the Scramble City combiners, really.
