Hey all. I'm not sure when this came out, or what "line" it was under, but I found these pictures of what apears to be a ko of G1 Grimlock. The dino arms are different, but that's the only noticable mold difference. Does anybody have any info on this? For some reason the pages wouldn't load, but I was ble to get these 3 pictures to load (was searching for pictures using google). Thanks for any help with this.

That is neat! Great for kitbashing or repairing old G1 figs.

    So do I.

That's exactly what I plan to do with it if I can get a hold of one, or some other cheap KO of G1 Grimlock. Hopefully someone on here knows something about this peticular figure, or a similar one.

Interesting. I wandered if they were from a different figure or not. Hopefully someone on here knows more about this. I might add the links to where I found these, even tough the pages wouldn't load for me, they might work for someone else. I was searching google, so I was at least able to get a hold of the pictures themselves.

On a somewhat related topic, I received a G1 Grimlock in a trade last year, and it is in amazingly good condition. . .which makes me suspect that it is a knock off (I didn't think that there were any re-issued, gray G1 Grimlocks, but I may be wrong here. . .). Does anyone here know of differences between the original and KO or re-issued Grimlocks so that I might figure this out? My Grimlock's date is 1984, and is listed as being a Hasbro product.

I'll honestly concider myself lucky if I can get ahold of one of these things. From reading the thread it sounds like it's an old KO, so It might be a bit hard to track down. I'm going to attempt to either track down a cheap G1 Grimlock, or a cheap KO of him. I'd go for the newer one, but, for what it is, it's too expensive for me.

I sent a message to the guy who started the thread over on seibertron, and just got his reply. He said that these ko's were common about 3-4 years ago, but he hasn't seen one since then. Anybody here know of any other cheap ko's of Grimlock? or know of someone that's selling an origional for cheap (I'll repair one if need be, as if I get a ko, I plan on painting it up to look more like the origional, so fixing an origional up wouldn't bother me).

I think your best bet for a Grimlock KO is the Prehistory Animal figure, the one that looks more like a Ceratosaurus than a T. rex. It's the only one I've ever seen with any degree of regularity.

If you don't mind working with a much smaller scale, there's always the World's Smallest figure.

And one cheap, slightly ugly, Pretender KO. Funny thing is, the red immediately reminded me of the Tyrannozord.

Well, out of all 3 of the suggestions you've posted here, I'm probably going to try the pre-TF one. I'm not a fan of either the WST or the Pretender versions. I'm mainly looking for something that'll be cheap. If price wasn't an issue with this, I would easily go for the modern KO of it. I'll have to see if I can find any of the pre-TF Grimlocks for sale, and see how much they usuall go for. Thanks for the suggestions :thumbs2: .
