Hey guys, since purchasing MP Grimlock I am in the market for a G1 figure now too. Here's one that I'm looking at but I noticed something, it has blue eyes... I wasnt aware that this figure ever had a blue eyes variant but I dont know that much about it. Is this right? Is it possibly just someone repainted over it? Or could it be a KO? What do the experts here say? Thanks in advance everyone! Later
Hey Hippie, my guess would be that its just a custom paint job,as I see a little overspray on the eyebrow,and not really the best job either.As for knockoff I doubt it as most of the ko dinobots have subtle changes to them like a spiked horn on grimmy's head and so forth. so I am bout 80% sure its legit.Hope that helps.
I agree... He looks completely legit, except for the eyes which should be red. I checked tfwiki for you, but no mention of a "blue eye" variant... not that checking tfwiki ends the discussion or anything.
If you go on the proper site (Unicron.com) and read about Grimlock then it says that he custom painted them .1985 G1 Transformers Dinobot Grimlock
