How do you deal with GPS for Slog,Bristleback,Skyhammer and Roadblock. Is there any way to fix a figure with GPS.

Once the figure starts to go, it's going to eventually crumble into tiny shards. You might be able to glue it the first time, if it doesn't crumble and just breaks, but it will break again elsewhere before long.

Also, be aware, this affects all swirly metallic plastics in Transformers, including examples like Transmetal Megatron and even Universe Superion (the Micromaster set). There are even a very rare few reports of Movie 1 Protoform Starscream's joints giving out.

position the figure so that it's not resting on any gold plastic parts, and then construct a plastic shell around it, from which it will never be removed. ideally, after that, you'd fill the shell with a clear resin, which would allow you to view the figure without worrying about it ever bumping into anything.

Or you can keep the affected/suspecting pieces SEALED forever in their packaging, NEVER to touch 'em.

That's what I did for my collection. :D

I have seen sealed bristlebacks with gps, its on the molecular level and eventually they will all fall apart. Its Hasbro's version of cosmic rust lol.

Lets hope that hasbro has fixed it as they have claimed before cause otherwise i can see a lot of ROTF toys succumbing to it.

The thing is that it can still break in package. I've heard stories of MSIB Black Zaraks being opened up for the first time, and it is broken, because of the GPS.

    Well, lucky you! :lol

Of all the Black Zaraks that I've chanced upon, none of it were even broken upon opening.

    The worse scenario:

One of my guy bought a sealed piece, he tried taking/digging out Zarak Headmaster from the foam & voila!

He REALLY sobbed uncontrollably for the next 10 minutes or so.

dirge isnt sparkly metallic gold plastic. he will not have the problem.

it's not in ALL gold colored plastic. it's in the sparkly, metallic swirly gold/brown/other color plastic.

evac is the one I worry about. and leader starscream.

I was packing up my collection the other day cause I'm moving and I was noticing how gold and sparkly my Dirge reissues wings are. Has he ever succumbed to GPS?

GPS is basically the leprosy of Transformers. It's only going to get progressively worse overtime as the plastic becomes weaker. The only way to fully repair this is to cast the affected parts and make replacements. Otherwise, superglue, and a lot of patience will have to do it for a temporary fix.
I have a BW TM Megatron that practically crumbled on me...His waist broke in half, his arm hinge broke off, and a lot of other annoying things. After a lot of superglue and very little experience in customizing, I managed to make him into an excellent Actionmaster :)  Which means he can't transform anymore :(

I have tried to convince myself that the OP in that thread was being a troll, especially with the followup posts and threads he posted. That dude just could have not been for real...

superglue doesnt really help, because the gold plastic doesnt bond to it well. which isnt surprising, as gold plastic doesnt bond to itself well either.
