Sooo...skyjack and jetfire allready have classic versions of them, strafe and air raid should imho be combiners - at least they will be in my collection.

    Which leaves these two:

And I think I dare say that their decos would kinda make them stand out...ALOT

I'll have to get my Hun-grr out to take some pictures. He's one of the most articulate G1 figures there are.

With Jetfire it's more of a style thing. The macross design looks alright with modern toys I think.

Hooligan's badass. He makes the Rainmakers stop and go, "You know, I don't think we've pushed this neon deco gimmick far enough. I too would like to look like a go-go dancer in a Poison video."

Hooligan belongs on every shelf of every collection. Preferably popping a wheelie on a Road Pig.

    Personally I would say NONE.

Putting a G1 with Classics pretty much defeats the thesis behind Classics.

I think if you put 1 G1 figure there you can put them all because not a single G1 figure has the articulation that a Classics figure has.

Final answer, none but if you use any you might as well use them all.

Not to nitpick, but G1 Ravage has a LOT more articulation than Universe Ravage.

Then again, G1 Ravage was pretty much super-articulated, but I just felt like mentioning it.

Ravage was also "paper thin" where as Classics Ravage added the 3rd dimension to the figure.

No one said anything about quality, just articulation.

... though I do legitimately like G1 Ravage better than Universe. Between the lost articulation and the tiny head it's really not worth it to me. But that's just my opinion. Basically, if I want a cassette Ravage, I go with G1. If I want a 3D Ravage, I go with Device Label (who is my Classics Ravage).

... plus Ravage being so flat allows awesome pictures like this!

I think the cassettes can easily fit into a classics collection.

After that it gets tricky but I do see how the size of the city-bots can offset articulation. Especially if posed as cities. Same for the dinobots.

I go the opposite route. I only buy Classics that fit in with G1. All deluxe cars are out. Plus, I'll take G1 Prowl and Sideswipe over their Classics selves anyday. They may lack articulation, but the Diaclones alt modes always seem more realistic to me. Maybe it's the metal.

To the poster who wants Classics Space Case, I recommend the DOTM version. Got him last week.

I got an oversized RM R-Blade and had a friend repaint him as Hooligan. He's deluxe size.
Having gotten Botcon Leozack, it is a shame that mold wasn't repainted to give us the Hooligan in the Botcon comic.

I also have an oversized RM Wingstun who makes a great partner for Acid Storm, sporting similar colours.

So with my G1 Autobot cars, I display Generations Windcharger, Robotmasters Mirage (Would love a Dragstrip repaint). Classics Jetfire and Silverbolt, Classics Prime (or G1 depending on how I feel), Energon Omega Supreme, G2 Laser Rods and Colour Changers. Encore Ratchet and Ironhide have the KO clip on heads and they look great. In fact, Ironhide has become one of my alltime favourite TF's. High praise for a figure I wouldn't buy until 3 years ago.

The Decepticons lean slightly more towards the Classics because I prefer the Seeker bot modes though their jets don't hold a candle to the G1 Seekers.
So, alongside Starscream, Acid Storm and co, I have:
    Custom Hooligan
    RM OS Wrecker Hook
RM OS Wingstun (who I see as G1 Waspinator)
    Gigant Bomb
    Smokesniper
    Double Face/Sideways
    ROTF Breakdown
    Battlechargers
    Oversized KO BRuticus
    G1 Soundwave + cassettes
    Soundblaster
    G1 Predaking
    G2 Laser Rods
    G2 Stormtroopers
    ROTF Bludgeon (Wreckage repaint)
    Titanium WW Seekers

You know a couple of people have brought up the Dinobots fitting. I have been looking on getting those. I may just have to pull the trigger and just get them. I really like how they look.

If it helps you decided. In the BiS comic when we saw all the Generations designs for characters the Dinobots still held on to their G1 forms.

But the G1 Dinobots are smaller than the Classics Autobot cars.
