I was wondering what G1 figures you guys thought actually went pretty well with your Classics figures?

I just picked up a G1 Omega Supreme for an awesome member here. I had fallen in love with it at the NJCC, but I was looking for a good price on it and got a great price on here.

I initially saw another member here have it in there collection and thought it looked great. I gotta say, Omega Supreme is a fantastic G1 figure, and it really does fit great into the Classics line.

So for me, I would say here is my list:

    - Devastator with CrazyDevy Addons
    - Omega Supreme (need better Add on for the legs then what CrazyDevy did, here is a thread with my recommendation http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/477983-g1-omega-supreme-waist-hips-knee-idea.html)

    What do you guys suggest?

    Also, just wondering:

1- Is there a link to how to fix the electronics?
2- Is there a radicon or someone else who created a face for Omega Supreme. Kinda like the face they did for the encore?

I think Jetfire works. And Hun-grr. Onslaught and Blitzwing almost work but the arms are a pain. They can stand in the background I guess.

Since generations is typically g1 reimagined, wouldn't any g1 figure fit until Hasbro released a new one? If you're talking g1 figs that would need little if any reworking to fit, the first 1 I thought of was sixshotfpr his g1 awesomeness. Shockwave is another. With a little.patients. and some good balance, you can pose him in an action stance. I'd post a pic if I still had him.

    Best I could find:

Seibertron.com Energon Pub Forums • View topic - G1 Omega Supreme repair questions????

Sort of. Reprolabels makes an upgrade set that has a show-accurate face meant to go in the helmet. The trick is getting INTO the helmet to put the sticker on.

I do have the Reissue Insecticons displayed on my shelf. Their size, the chrome... just works on a shelf that's predominantly Henkei.

Honestly, the only G1 figures that I think can actually stand alongside Classics and not feel out of place are the Cassettes. For their size, the articulation and aesthetic still hold up today. But that's really about it. The only G1's I currently have sharing space in a Classics display are G1 Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw. (I had Ravage in there for a long time, too, till USB Ravage came along; G1 Ravage is still superior to the Classics version that accompanied Hound, though.)

There are a handful of figures that almost make the cut, but I still probably wouldn't use them myself:

    -Perceptor
    -Soundwave (damn those backwards knees!)
    -Sludge
    -Hun-Grrr
    -Sky-Lynx

And I think some of the citybots (Omega, Metroplex, Scorponok, Trypticon) would still look nice looming over Classics. Their size sort of weirdly makes up for their blockiness and lack of articulation somehow (maybe because they are cities the blockiness makes more sense? I dunno... I'm not sure why it works).

Maybe that's why some people like having the later combiners in there as well (Seacons, Predaking, etc.); their hulking, detailed combined mode makes up for any lack of articulation. I don't like having them in there myself, but hey, everyone likes to display their collection differently!

EDIT: I like Kusanagi's point about the Insecticons' size and chrome working alongside Henkei figures. I could totally see that. The Insecticons are good potential fit as well. I do have the E-Hobby Insecticons in my (predominantly modern) Shattered Glass display, and they work pretty well. It helps that brickish figures like SG Sideswipe, Spychanger Camshaft, and RiD Bludgeon are in there as well, though.... kinda smoothes over the articulation divide. :p

I second Jetfire. He's the only G1 figure I still own and he's on my Classics shelf.

I am considering getting some Insecticons, however. I have the FP Insecticons in bot mode and would like to keep the G1 or reissues in bug mode . . .

    Upgrade set 4:
    Reprolabels.com -

On the left side are a bunch of details you can scoll over to see the various things the set has to offer. The bottom one with Blaster is the one that shows off the Omega face.
