List all of ur favorite G1 episodes!
My fav G1 episode is Starscream's Brigade and Revenge of Bruticus!
My favorite is ......
More Than Meets the Eye Parts 1-3.
wrong disscussion boards and all of them
yah me too, exept i saw divide and conqeur , it was the very first episode i ever saw
The only episode I consider watchable is 'Starscream's Brigade'.
-The Key to Vector Sigma
-Heavy Metal Wars
The return of optimus prime. For obvious reasons.
I know, me too. Goldbug is RAD!
Call of the Primitives and Heavy Metal war
"NOTHING DEFEATS THE DEVASTATOR NOTHING!!!!"
the master builders
I thought Dark Awakening did a great job of adding to Rodimus' character. He really got the torch passed to him in that one, more than in the movie while opening the matrix and hearing Optimus say "Arise Rodimus Prime." It was the final step in Hot Rod's transformation into Rodimus.
Here's my list:
- Five Faces of Darkness
- Dweller in the Depths
- The Revenge of Bruticus (despite the fact I hate Starscream)
- Starscream's Brigade
- The God Gambit
- Atlantis Arise
- The Ultimate Doom
- Countdown to Extinction
- Starscream's Ghost
- Ghost in the Machine
They're what I can think of at present
Not a big fan of the cartoon - way prefer the Marvel comics version of the Saga (and as Grimlock told us when we were young, it depicted the REAL events. The cartoon was just made-up fluff...)
But for what it's worth my fave episodes in terms of nostalgia:
More Than Meets The Eye Pts 1-3 (or, as us UK fans knew it as for a long time, "Arrival From Cybertron"), Fire In The Sky, Megatron's Master Plan, Return Of Optimus Prime, Call Of The Primitives, Key To Vector Sigma (basically, those that were part of the Panini sticker album or were released o VHS in the UK)
Those that I like because they're actually...you know GOOD:
Most of season 3 story-wise, but something was lost in the execution.
City of Steel
Carnage in C Minor
The one where Red Alert thinks the Autobots are trying to get rid of him. Sorry, I'm not good with epoisode names.
My Top 5:
2) Roll For It
4) Blaster Blues
5) The Burden Hardest to Bear
1) Child's Play
2) A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court
3) Triple Takeover
4) Nightmare Planet
5) Transport to Oblivion
I always liked Roll for It, The Golden Lagoon, and Webworld.
Roll For It is just that classic S1 G1 formula, where humans/autobots have some mcguffin that will result in lots of energy, and the Decepticons are trying to steal it. It's got big battles, and chase sequences, the space bridge, and energon cubes. Hell, almost everyone makes an appearance. You've got Soundwave finally using his mind-reading ability for once, and the Autobots remembering they can fly. Its even got tons of those animation glitches and continuity errors that make G1 so special. And then there's the insane Chip Chase moment where he prints out a floppy disc and rips it apart with his bare hands rather than deleting the file. Then he talks trash to Ravage who throws him through a window. I love that scene.
The Golden Lagoon is a great episode because it not only features a lot of the "lesser" characters (including Omega Supreme in an actual fight), but its one of the better written episodes, and is a great character study of Beachcomber. Beachcomber just wants to explore, but realizes that simply discovering new natural phenomena is a luxury that he and his comrades can't afford, so long as the Decepticon threat exists. Its got tragic moments, huge fight sequences, and of course the laser rave scene.
Webworld I like just because it focuses on Galvatron being barking moonbat crazy and wrecking up the place. Its interesting to see an episode that focuses on the Decepticons, especially their internal politics (even if they're simplified for kids), and its great to see the Decepticons characterized as something other than one-dimensional aggressors who invade and are simply driven back by the heroes for another week without any depth or insight into their motivations, individually or as a whole.
City of Steel. The animation is garbage and the story makes about as much sense as my ass being a guest on Jay Leno, but I can't help but like all the stupidity in it.
