The first four you have listed there look to be the same set, it's the one I have. If you can get it cheap, go for it. It has outstanding quality: remastered picture, 5.1 stereo.

There is the shout factory set as well, that's probably easier to get stateside.

The Shout Factory's 25th Anniversary box set of the entire G1 series is definitely worth it. I highly recommend you get that as opposed to those other box sets.

I recently went through the same decisions. It eventuially came down to the Chinese Tin Box, or the Shout set. Other previous sets are generally not as good or cheap as the Chinese set. I went with the Tin Box as I am in the UK. I dont reget it. It does have menus in Chinese, but cartoons in English.

You will now get a lot or people telling you to get the Shout set. I think that it depends what you are looking for. If you want the latest and ultimate TF seasons 1-4 box set and care about every small error or sound issue (and they are mostly small errors), get the Shout set. If you dont want to pay four times the price, and just want to watch the cartoons, and see the background and story (again?), get the Tin Box.

Does the Chinese Tin Metal set have the original 5 different intros for Five Faces of Darkness?

I would go with the Shout Factory one. I was going to get the Tin set, but I had some doubt about it. Do they even use the US voice actors?

I have watched a disc from the tin set and it played just fine like you were watching the rhino set. (languages and such)

I was also looking into the madman set. anyone on that set?
