I'm working on a webcomic that follows the story of The Rebirth and suddenly thought of how to represent Cybertron. I realize that Primus is from a totally different toy line than G1, but does its planet mode barrow enough similarities with the G1 to do so? I mean, it does have recognizable cities on it from G1 like Iacon. Then again, I'm pretty sure that cities were based on DW comics than the G1 cartoon or comic. Plus, the toy has the four legs for balancing in on a flat surface, and all those spike-like cannon things on its sides, though I could overlook those if the rest worked enough. So is there maybe a position I could put it in, or a direction I could turn it so that enough of it coincides with its appearance from 20 years ago?
I think someone on here mapped out (or at least tried to map out) each city/area on the Primus toy according to the "official" map of Cybertron. However, I can't recall how accurate it was. It seems like that thread was started sometime around when the Japanese Galaxy Force Primus was released, so its probably a fairly old thread. I'll look around a bit.
I think I found it. Are these what you meant? http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12144&st=0 http://hometown.aol.com/zacwilliam1/CyberAtlas.html
I think those pics were at least part of what I recall. Seems like there was more of an effort to map the locations on the actual toy, though. Dunno, probably just my lousy memory. That said, perhaps this is an opportunity for you to do some sleuthing, if you are so inclined!
