How much would you say is too much to bid on Ebay for a complete Devastator? I am looking for one, but thought I would see what you guys thought.

I'd just hold out for the inevitable reissue. But if you really want one off eBay I'd say no more than $100

Thanks. I was thinking no more than 100 myself unless they were in Mint condition. BTW Wyvern, You really think this will be re-issued G1 style?

    $70-$120 shipped
Now that they are reissuing bruticus giftset it's possible that we also see a devastator reissue
But on the other hand, bruticus is a mold which has been reissued countless times, so don't count on it.

Are you talking MISB or just one to display?
    MISb I'd say $150 to $200.

Loose complete, I would spend $75.

Or wait for the reissue that's most likely coming and get a MISB... or wait for the reissue and buy a loose complete for cheaper.

Yeah, I say just wait. With the movie coming out with Devastator, there is a good chance there will be a reissue. Either Encore or a Hasbro release.

But for vintage, I echo everyone else. Higher than 75-80 would be a bit too much.

What you would spend has little to nothing to do with what they currently go for on Ebay. Expect to pay $80-120. plus shipping depending on the condition for a complete one.

3 or 4 years ago I think I paid $80.00 for my set with all weapons. I then went to repro labels and got the G1 Devy sticker set and now looks very minty.

yeah, I am talking loose. I see them on ebay all the time loose with high buy it now prices, but once in awhile there are some that are more reasonable. I recently passed on a buy it now of $85 shipped. I am kicking myself now for passing. The only ones right now up are auctions but I am sure some parts whore will swoop in an out bid at the last second. some of us can't hover over our computers at the close of auctions always.

Yes, hopefully it will be re-issued after the '09 movie. I am not really into the movie style transformers so I doubt I will be picking any of that line up.

The problem with buying them on ebay is that sometimes sellers try to sneak in a KO instead.... just be careful when buying Devastator. Ask for additional pictures if possible.

    Ebay:
loose set , 100$ too´pps if in good condition.
MOC set around 200-25o$ isch if the cards and bubbles are nice.
MOSC, dunno 400-500$ my guess would be
MIB giftset US version around 200-300 and upp depending on condition and a whole other aspects, mine would probbaly reach the 500$ mark with easy due to its unused mintyness.
MISB giftset..more then your wallet can handle and that goes for most in here.

The reissue I dunno, since he has been KO so mnay times. IF TT thinks all KOs have destroyed the market then they might not relese him but anythings possible.

    Ebay:
these are more actual ebay prices for this figure, so be prepared.

About waiting for the reissue, I think that when we talk about "reissue" you should NEVER expect anything, I mean, 3 or 4 years ago, there was a very heavy expectation that the Dinobots would be reissued, we are still waiting and even KOs have been launched but no official word on them from TAK/HAS yet. On the other hand we saw Omega Supreme reissued, that was very unexpected because he was one of the 3 toys that were not TAKARA originally intellectual property(being the other jetfire and shockwave - by the way, shockwave KO is almost out).

Also we saw a lot of KO metroplex figures, adn in the end TAKARA lauched the official reissue.

So, I would say buy a vintage now if you have the money to, if by any chance the figure gets a reissue buy one and sell the vintage.
