I'm really diggin this cartoon style, so I decided to try it on Bumblebee.
(you might/or might not remember my previous attempts on this style, with Sideswipe and Optimus Prime)

First of all, I resculpted his eyes, since I didn't like much that "I'm a bad boy" kind of look. I removed his alternate hands/blasters and then I repainted him with a very cartoonish look, using the G1 colors.
I also added some panel lining here and there, for an even more cartoonish look.
I used only matt colors and a dullcoat lacquer for protection.

Fantasic; the two styles combine seamlessly and those windows really make it, as they did on your Optimus Prime. Which lacquer did you use?

I know, I love what NECA did on those, that was part of my inspiration to try this style :)

    I'll post it later, thanks!

    Thanks man =)

I'll be making Prime in the next few weeks, and I have plans for a retooled version of Megatron

    Thanks!
Those are basically 2 layers. First one is blue, then I masked it leaving the shape of the white lines exposed for the second layer (white)

Thanks! Stay tuned for Prime v2.0

    Thanks!

Thanks! I love this style too, expect to see many many more of them coming from me soon :D

    Thanks!
It's Testors Dullcoat Lacquer, really makes adds to the smooth look of it!

I REALLY dig the "cartoon-style" work you've done, and it looks good on three diffrent toy lines as well. I think my only complaint at all between the three figures I've seen done this was was the removal of the abdomen plates on Leader Prime. I think you could have left them on, not had the gap in truck mode, and still had an outstanding looking figure. A minor complaint though. Top notch work on all of these. I can't wait to see what you post next.

At first I thought it was a digibash. Upon closer inspection I realized that it really is a Cartoon-looking Bumblebee in 3D form!

    Great work here :)

    Thanks!
Keepin em clean is the hardest part!

    Thanks!
I'm working on a couple more right now.

    :D

    Thanks!
Wow.. Peaugh.. I love your reviews man! Never thought you'd be posting on one of my figures :D
Well, about Prime, I had this original idea of totally retool him, but he was going to end up just as a robot replica, and I wanted to use the trailer, so..  that little mod ended up as the only mod, since there was no going back lol some folks liked it though :)
One of my next projects is to finally make this non transforming G1 looking Prime I originally had in mind.

    Thanks!
I always fool at least 2 people with this style :D
