    Hi there!
It's been a while since my last post mainly because I've been experimenting with non-tf customs, so I figured you guys wouldn't be that interested :p

Back to my roots, here's another kind of experiment I tried. Since almost everyone had already done great customs with Leader Prime, I decided to try a cartoonish look for him instead.

Prime was airbrushed with matt enamels, then clear coated with dullcote lacquer. I handpainted some of the shadows on his face and some other small details here and there.

For the ultimate cartoon look, I airbrushed shadows and reflections all over him, using stills from the movie and artwork by Don Figueroa as reference. In fact, if you look at some of the reflections of the truck mode and the trailer, they're taken straight from the movie! (check the part when Prime rolls over Thrust ;)  )

I also removed some parts of his chest, this left the white part visible and made it more G1-ish (the idea is to look like the grill section on his torso)

Last but not least, there's THE TRAILER!
I was lucky enough to find the perfect match looking around the car models section, at my local toy store. The trailer is from a 1:32 Kenworth model.

Well, I hope you guys like it! :)

Holy shit that looks unreal, amazing job translating a 2d paint style onto a figure, really makes it look like if Hasbro was to do a anime style TF:movieverse cartoon it may look really cool

I was trying to figure out why the truck had the gap in the front hood, and how you managed to get that curved stomach grille the way it is, and then I realized what you did, and it makes it that much more inventive.

The level of detail you put into that paint is flawless, and the fact that hes so flat for the colors, really makes him a cartoon version.

Easily one of my favorites for the level of detail and the simple but effective mods.

Wow..this is incredibly awesome. I think it's kind of too bad you removed some of the chest plastic, because now there's a gap in truck mode..but other than that:

    Super amazingly fricking AWESOME!!

Very awesome ! The painted shading is a tricky move, but I think you pulled it off well.

This will work well for posing him on a desk, once you start moving him though, the illusion of the static shading will of course be broken.

Oh my lord, wow! Now that's an original and fun approach to the movie toys! Please do more; I havn't had that much fun looking at a custom in ages!
Now if Hasbro started doing repaints like that, I'd be all over them! Good luck on the auction; it's worth a decent sum!

Wow dude, he looks incredible. Like a couple other people said, he is so cartoon-y looking that he almost doesn't look real. I really like the grill in bot mode, that's what movie Prime is lacking. Well that and the yellow arrow shapes you also put on him! I really want him! Great job man. Are you going to do any other ROTF figures like this because I'm going to guess that they would look sweet cartoon-style too.

I really think this looks good!! The shading is great. My only thing is when I did mine I had to add some gray to the legs and feet. They just do not feel right being all blue. But that is just me.
