In researching a possible purchase of a G1 Blaster, I'm finding that many sellers claim that cassette door commonly breaks (aka the Eject button doesn't work), and many are being sold in such a state.

Is Blaster easy to break in such a fashion? Can you disassemble the toy and fix it? (More directly, could I buy one with a "broken" door/button and fix it myself?)

Obviously I've never handled a Blaster toy, so I hope someone here can give me a little insight on the door/button mechanism.

i've lubricated the mechanism inside a couple, after the plastic gets a little worn, it gets sticky, it's an easy fix, and mine and my friend's have worked smoothly for a year and two years respectivly

Thanks for the link though, I need to mix the door on mine.

LOL indeed, it is not a "confederate flag" as far as just being a Rebel Flag on the wall. It is the Georgia State flag. 1956-2001 is the one it is if ya want to look it up.
