So, this is a project that got shelved a couple years ago because I couldn't find an Arcee head I was happy with. So, a couple weeks ago I travel with some friends to L.A. to meet up with some of the guys from here and all over, and I'm able to buy a couple of custom Arcee heads to finally finish this project. I finally have my own classics Arcee that I'm happy with. Until Hasbro finally makes one... Nothing special, and nothing that hasn't been done before. But I finally got one for myself now, so I'm pretty happy. And of course, the fun shot...
amazing! what figure did you use for the base? it looks like animated Blurr but being the size of protector i know it cant be.....
I think that IS animated Blurr. I can't see any kind of kitbashing done to it...minus the head. Good job!
Paint is wonderful! I was in the same boat and after several attempts at making my own I broke down and ordered Delecate Warrior on ebay.
Haha! Yeah, I couldn't pay $100 for how tiny that one is. Looks like a great figure, and I totally wanted one but I just couldn't do pull that trigger. The blur figure actually wasn't modified at all, except that I took the puncher-thingy off the shield completely. Then I just place the shield behind her in reverse for storage. The rest of it is simply painted--it's pretty much that easy. And removing the black paint from the clear blue parts. I've seen some customs where they cut the shoulders off and attach them to the shield, then mount the whole thing on her back. I just feel it becomes a little too parts-former for me. Oh, and her pistol is from G1 Omnibot Overdrive (it's the center gun on the gun tree). Thanks to everyone that likes this. Now that I've completed her, we'll see a G1 or WFC/FOC Arcee showcased for release soon .
Where can I get that head? If I can get one as well as a animated Blurr I might just make this myself too. Great job.
This looks cool! I keep thinking that a cool Arcee (or other Female Autobot) would look great using Blurr. But I also think the edges and corners should be rounded down first. The TFA Blurr Mold is great too!
