In which state where the Autobots and Decepticons crash landed? We know its Mount St-Hilary but where exactly? Was the Ark near the main city or was it far away?

    Thanks

I do believe it's Oregon. Not sure which city the Ark was the most closest to, but it did seem like it was pretty far from any urban area.

    this!

    woot!
    [thats where i live xD]

quite a few stories in the Marvel G1 comics have taken place in Portland, Oregon IIRC
[and i think there was a road sign in one of the Dreamwave comics that mentioned portland and stuff]

    *edit*
    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Oregon

im not exactly sure if the cartoon ever made any specific references like that. browsing the wiki real quick seems to confirm my suspicion

i always kinda wanted to track down the real "Mt St. Hilary." In the back of my mind kinda figured it to just be Mt. St. Helens but just not really but St. Helens is actually in Washington [but its not all that far from Portland]

St. Hilary is supposedly in Oregon and fairly close to Portland so. I think the real Mt. St. Hilary is probably Mount Hood in Oregon. Its only 50 miles away from Portland and is a volcanic mountain. It just never erupted in 1984 :p

hm! pretty neat! i drive over Mt. Hood everytime I go to Portland :D

The Decepticons ship crashed somewhere in the seas, but not sure which one. So, I don't think they're close.

Well Orgon is on the coast so the Decepticon ship is probably a few miles out into the Pacific.

Comic was always Oregon, Cartoon was vague in season 1, in season 2, it was heavily implied it was near "Central City" (from "Megatron's Master Plan"), since the mayor came to arrest them after the Decepticons made it look like they were the bad guys

i always pegged the Decepticon's crashed ship to be in the Atlantic Ocean for some reason

just always thought it kinda fit better with everything somehow

as for Autobot City, i would say its somewhere probably close to the Ark.

Judging by pics and stuff it does look to be nestled somewhere here in the northwest what with all the tree's and mountains and stuff

I always assumed the cartoon was in Arizona or Nevada because of the desert and massive dams.

The comic said it was Oregon. The cartoon was the American west, many scenes look like Monument Valley, Utah.

Autobot City was built on the site of Galvatron's cannon from Target 2006.

The Decepticon coalmine base in the comics was in Wyoming.

In the episode "Day of the machines" there is a bunch of oil tankers heading for a place that is said to be close to the Decepticon underwater base and that location is shown by Teletraan One to be in the Atlantic.

Though I guess the Ark must be on the west coast (just like in the comics) and in at least one (possibly more then one) episode it seems to only be a short drive to the ocean where the Decepticons base is located and that would of course imply the Pacific.

I've really always thought it was somewhere in the state of Washington, although I have no idea what led me to that assumption

Possibly because the eastern 2/3rds of the state is high desert with sagebrush and everything (not a lot of cacti, tho...but LOTS of diamondback rattlers!), and that extends down into Eastern Oregon.

You may also have gotten it from the second half of Key to Vector Sigma, where Megatron is working his way to the Seattle/Tacoma area.

But nope, the Ark was in Oregon.
